KURT GUENTHER – PRINCIPAL
Kurt believes in the power of storytelling to help people improve life and our shared legacy to our kids. He is especially committed to the generation now entering adulthood, who must work together quickly to solve global challenges created by others.
Kurt’s commitment to social change includes working with people across barriers of inequity, racism, sexism, ageism, ableism and more. As a white cis male, he’s frequently humbled by the struggles of others, and committed to understanding other perspectives. He cofounded doingsomething, a national volunteer network, the Washington Bus, Win-Win Network, Fuse, and he directly supports homeless people in Seattle through filmmaking and strategy for Real Change newspaper.
Kurt previously served as Creative Director and a Partner at GMMB, a political agency within Fleishman-Hillard, the largest PR company in the world. While there, he served as Creative Coordinator for the winning Clinton Gore campaign, and created the first-ever national brand campaigns for AmeriCorps, American Federation of Teachers, UNITE, and others. Prior to that, he served as Communications Director at the Congressional Institute for the Future, 100 members of both houses and parties who brought great leaders to Congress to encourage long-term strategy in the creation of laws.
Kurt received his education from Occidental College and Boston University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He lives in Seattle with his wife, and is visited often by his awesome kids.
charlie heyer – Partner
Charlie is driven by the pervasive power of rich media storytelling to empower others to thrive.
Before joining Guenther Creative, Charlie worked in video production in Washington DC and spent six years with Amazon in business and product management roles. He studied psychology, music, and business at William & Mary and the University of Virginia. His skill sets include both creative storytelling through film and a love and talent for structure, making him a beloved producer and client liaison.
Charlie lives in Issaquah with his wife and daughter, and loves to spend his spare time traveling, cycling, and jamming out with friends.
